Sunday school classes are open for all age groups, with something for everyone. Classes meet at 9:55 a.m. every Sunday, and guests are always welcome. The classes vary in format and size, so you are sure to find a class that meets your needs.
Journey, Room 120, Teachers: Jonathan & Stephanie Allen
For adults in their 20’s and 30’s, whether single, married, student, professional, with and without children. This participation-oriented class incorporates Bible study and life application.
Christian Adventure, Room 121-122, Rotating Teachers: Ralph Jacobs, Laura Padgett, and Sam Wotherspoon
Organized in 1951, this class was established for young adult couples. They fellowshipped together with their children for many years. Now they are mostly senior adults, but welcome people of all ages. Lessons are taught using the quarterly Adult Bible Study Series.
Koinonia, Room 123, Teacher: Charles Stanley
Koinonia is a community of believers with a common purpose and interest. We are mature in our faith and encourage discussion about our individual and collective faith journeys. We lift each other up through difficulties and celebrate joyous times together. We range from new families to seasoned adults, single or married.
Pathways, Room 124, Teacher: Ozzie Ostwalt
This class is for all adults. This participation-oriented class invites you for a lively discussion of theological and social issues.
F.U.N.N. (Followers Under 99), Room 125, Teachers: Chancellor Ken Peacock, Greg Lovins, and Brad Lambert
This class is presentation-based which includes book and topical studies. For men and women, couples and singles, retired and working, seeking to apply Christian principles in their daily lives.
Folks with Children, Room 126, Teacher: Eric & Lynette Hartley
For those in late 20’s-40’s raising children. This class has a focus on parenting and faith issues.
Pilgrimage, Room 128, Teacher: Andy Harkins
Organized in 1996, this class is for all adults. Like pilgrims, we are on a journey to develop our spirituality through prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit. We recognize that there is much to learn and seek His guidance.
Discussion Class, Room 131, Class Representative: Janet Mears
Organized in the mid 1960’s this participation-oriented class involves detailed study of books of theological and social interest. There is no formal teacher as this class is led by members.
Upper Room, Room 132, Teacher: Dr. Bobby Sharp
For all adults, this discussion-based class includes Bible study, video presentation, and topical studies.
Seekers, Room 133, Teacher: Dr. John Thomas
This class has a special focus on missions. They use the Serendipity Study Bible for weekly discussion and in-depth education.
