Mission Coordinator

Boone United Methodist Church is searching for a part-time mission coordinator. This person will lead our efforts in local and international missions, guided by one of our core values, “Everyone everywhere matters.” Responsibilities include planning an annual mission celebration, guiding the funding priorities and energies of our mission committee, planning weekly mission moments in worship, and handling the pastor’s benevolence fund. More importantly, this person will help clarify to our 1500 members, the next step they might take as a disciple in serving God. We are looking for someone with excellent motivational and communications skills who is self-motivated and able to work regular evening or weekend hours. Children’s Ministry Part-Time Assistant

Boone United Methodist Church Children’s Ministry is looking for a fun and creative individual who is organized, self-motivated, and loves children. Job responsibilities include assisting the Children’s Ministry Director with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies, maintaining schedules, and following up with volunteers, helping create and plan children’s events, assisting in displays and paperwork (sorting, filing, copying, etc). Meetings with the director would occur on Mondays, and work throughout the week would be self-directed. Candidates should expect to help on Sunday mornings, attend required meetings and training sessions, and conduct oneself in a professional manner. $10/hour (part-time 10 hours per week). Preschool Lead Teacher

The lead teacher shall have a four-year degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field, have had satisfactory experience in working with children, and meet all licensing requirements if applicable. This person shall be mature and sensitive in working with children, parents, and all other staff. The teacher shall be a person of Christ-like character, active in a Christian church, and someone committed to furthering the mission of the United Methodist Church. Preschool Teacher Assistant

The assistant teacher shall be a high school graduate with good academic skills. Preference will be given to applicants with a BA, BS, or equivalent degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. The applicant must have an interest, demonstrated skill, and experience working with young children. This person must be willing to work under the supervision of a lead teacher. The applicant must be warm, friendly, and sensitive to children and adults. The assistant teacher shall be a person of Christ-like character, active in a Christian church, and someone committed to furthering the mission of the United Methodist Church. Preschool Music Teacher

The music teacher shall appropriate training and experience in the field of music; have had satisfactory experience in working with children; and meet all licensing requirements if applicable. This person shall be mature and sensitive in working with children, parents, and all other staff. The assistant teacher shall be a person of Christ-like character, active in a Christian church, and someone committed to furthering the mission of the United Methodist Church.
