Colette Krontz

Colette Krontz
Director of Children’s Ministry

Email: Colette Krontz, Ext. 228

Colette Krontz is minister to and with children at Boone United Methodist Church. She has been involved with children’s ministry for the past twelve years and has been Director since 2007.

I first became involved in the children’s ministry at Boone UMC because I had a young son and daughter who enjoyed the programs offered and that made life easy for me. My son is now out of the home, my daughter just footsteps behind, and here I remain. Because now that I have a birds eye view of what my children found so attractive about spending time with other children and adults who love Jesus , I want to be here too! Children are born with an innate sense of wonder and faith that is real and authentic. Our focus in ministry with children is not only on religious instruction or teaching, but rather spiritual formation during childhood, which includes instruction but involves much more. As teachers and leaders, our role is to provide a foundation of experiences on which children move toward a maturing faith and a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ, through which we become more like Christ living in our everyday lives in the world. Being allowed to come along beside children in that process is a blessing. Being married to a man who indulges me in that is beyond measure. I look forward to meeting your child!
