The Ministry of Music exists to convey the love of Christ to others through music and the arts. It is an integral part of the total ministry and mission of the church which strives to lead the congregation to worship God in “Spirit and in truth.”
All parishioners – both young and old, professional musicians and beginners – are encouraged to take part in this ministry. For more information on any of the ensembles listed, please contact the Director of Worship and the Arts.
Children and Youth
Fine Arts Camp – Make a Joyful Noise
Mark your calendars for the week of July 17-21, 2017, for this year’s Fine Arts Camp…“Make a Joyful Noise!” We will be creating many joyful noises as we learn songs, bible verses, make instruments and learn movement (to name a few). The camp is open to rising 2nd thru rising 6th graders regardless of church affiliation. So, please signup and bring a friend along, too! We plan to share our week with our families and friends on Friday, July 21 during a reception at 5:30pm. More details to follow! We look forward to seeing you as we “Make a Joyful Noise”!
Angel, Cherub and Caroler Choirs & Caroler Tone Chimes will begin on Tuesday, August 29th. Tone Chimes, directed by Dana Davis will rehearse from 3pm-3:55pm in the Choir Room. Snack time for all children participating will be from 4:05pm-4:15pm in the Education Narthex followed by vocal choir rehearsals from 4:15-5:15pm. Rehearsal locations will be: Angel Choir directed by Clint Hall – Chapel; Cherub Choir, directed by Jana Greer – Choir Room and Caroler Choir, directed by Dana Davis – Sanctuary. Pick up will be at 5:15pm in the Sanctuary.
Chancel Choir – Will meet on Wednesdays beginning August 24th from 7-8:30pm in the Choir Room. New members are welcome!!
Nexsen Ringers – (auditioned) The adult handbell choir, will meet on Wednesdays beginning September 7th. Time to be confirmed.
Children and Youth Choirs

The Angel Choir is for children age 4 through Kindergarten.
The Cherub Choir is for children in first and second grades. The choir receives valuable training in rhythm and matching pitch, and participates in worship several times each year.
The Caroler Choir is for children in the third through the fifth grade. Basic rhythm, music theory, and coordination are stressed. Singers are taught how to read music and basic music symbols. The group participates in worship several times each year. The choir is directed by Dana Davis.
Intermediate Choir, 5th-8th grades, will meet on Thursdays beginning September 1st in the Choir Room. Rehearsals will begin at 3pm. More information to follow. Directors Jana Greer & Dana Davis.
Youth Handbell Choirs
Caroler Tone Chimes
The Caroler Tone Choir is for children in the third to fifth grades. It provides children with an introduction to tone chime instruments. The group participates in worship several times each year. Intermediate Tone Chimes
The intermediate Tone Chimes choir is for students in the fifth through the eighth grades. This groups builds on musical skills by learning to read notes and rhythms.
Acolytes, Crucifers, and Banner Carriers
If you are in the 2nd grade or older, you can serve in the Sunday morning worship services. We are always looking for Acolytes, Crucifers and people to carry Worship Banners in our 8:45 and 11:00am services. We will have training on Sunday, October 4 at 12:15pm.
