Community Engagement and Missions
There is a clear pattern throughout scriptures: God cares for the poor, the suffering, the orphans, the widows, the foreigners, and he expects His people to do the same. We see commandments in the Old Testament to care for those in need, we see Christ came to proclaim the good news to the poor, and we see the early church rapidly responding to the needs of those in their community.
At Boone United Methodist, we are striving to serve those in need in Watauga County, the United States, and throughout the World. Join us in bringing relief, rehabilitation, restoration, and development to those in need, so that the good news of the gospel might be known to all.
If you are a part of BUMC, and are engaging in long-term or short-term missions, our church would love to support you! We also partner with some missionaries, mission organizations, and local agencies whose vision and values align with our own.
If you are going on a short-term mission trip from our church, please click here to fill out a form so that we can be praying for your team. Please use the same form if you are requesting financial assistance for your trip.
If you are a long-term missionary seeking support, please click here to access our long-term support form. If you are a partner agency/organization seeking to partner with us click here. All forms can be returned to Rev. Laura Byrch, Pastor of Community Engagement. If you have any questions, you may contact her by email or at (828) 264-6090 ext 226.
