Blessing of the Pets

On Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2:00 pm, you are invited to bring the animals you love to receive a blessing from one of the Pastors of Boone United Methodist Church. We are gathering in the Meadow, which is located behind the church, at the rear of the back parking lot, to offer prayers for pets both great and small.

Bring your dog, cat, and other critters for a special blessing. Please have dogs on leashes and cats and critters in carriers.

At the Pet Blessing and throughout the month of October, our Pet Ministry Team will collect dry and wet dog and cat food and kitty litter. Donations will be collected in labeled boxes in each lobby area and will then be given to the Ashe County Humane Society and the Watauga County Humane Society. If you prefer to donate money, please make checks out to BUMC and note “Pet Food Drive” in the memo line.
