Service of Lament and Hope

Boone United Methodist Church is holding a Service and Lament and Hope on Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Sanctuary with music starting at 6:15 pm, and the worship service beginning at 6:30 pm. The service offers a sacred space for community members to express grief over the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and claim hope for moving forward. Special guest Amanda Held Opelt is sharing a witness of music and words. Jeff McClain and pianist Doug Kaufman are leading a contemplative reflection. Mental health resources are being made available before and after the service.
