Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday 2025

Morning Ashes in the Chapel
Begin your Lenten journey with quiet reflection and the imposition of ashes in our Chapel from 7:30–8:30 am, March 5. This time of personal prayer and meditation provides an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life and center your heart on God as we enter this season of repentance and renewal.

Ashes on App State’s Sanford Mall
For those on campus, our pastors will be offering ashes at App State’s Sanford Mall on March 5, 9:30 am–3:30 pm. Whether you are a student, faculty member, or just passing through, we invite you to take part in this sacred tradition as a visible reminder of our faith and dependence on God.

Evening Ash Wednesday Service
Join us for a meaningful worship service on March 5 at 7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary, where we will reflect on the significance of Ash Wednesday through Scripture, prayer, music, and the imposition of ashes. This service is a time to turn our hearts toward God, embrace the call to repentance, and prepare for the Lenten season ahead.
