River Outing

The Boone UMC Creation Care Team invites you to spend the afternoon of Sunday, July 27, soaking in God’s beautiful creation as we kayak the peaceful waters of the New River. We’re partnering with RiverGirl in Todd, who is offering our group a special discounted rate on kayak rentals and transport. Whether you’re an experienced paddler or brand new to kayaking, this stretch of the river is perfect for beginners. You can choose a single or tandem kayak, and small children are welcome to ride with a parent. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy outdoor fellowship, connect with nature, and celebrate the wonder of God’s world together!

We will meet at RiverGirl in Todd (4041 Todd Railroad Grade Rd., Todd, N.C.) at 1:30 p.m., and the float will last about an hour and a half. The cost is just $25 per person for kayak rental, or $10 per kayak if you bring your own and need transport. To join the fun, simply complete the registration form, submit your payment (online or to the Church Office), and fill out RiverGirl’s waiver in advance.
