Friendship Connection

The mission of Friendship Connection is to provide a hub at Boone UMC for the High Country to authentically connect with one another. Whether someone is looking for a friend or wants to offer friendship, we help people find other people and feel connected.

As this ministry grows, Phase One is to host a listening table at our dinners on Thursday evenings — Together We Eat from 5:15 until 6:30 pm — to research how people would like to connect. Future phases are actively evolving through our listening research, which could be:

– Cooking nights for people to meet to prep some of their meals for the week and bank some meals in the church freezer to be distributed to anyone in the community who needs them

– Regular classes/get togethers

– One-on-one pairings

– Other ideas that might emerge
