Faithfulness in: Tragedy

From 2 Kings 24 & 25

-Vern Collins

It is difficult to open a newsfeed or a newspaper and not come face to face with the tragedy that is unfolding all around us. Too easily, however, we move on to focus on what is right in front of us.
But what happens when you find yourself faced with some pain, or loss, or hurt, or mistreatment in your own life? Where do you turn in tragedy? How do you handle it? What does it do to you, or how does it undo you?
In week 7 of our Faithfulness series, we find ourselves in 2 Kings 24 and 25, and the destruction of Jerusalem and exile of God’s people. Once we can begin to learn the effects of tragedy in our own lives, we might just begin to see that God has been present all along.
