Community Response Team

Daily Bread Community Garden
Church and community members plant, work, and harvest produce that is shared with neighbors, local food pantries, and community meals. To get involved, click here.
Elderly Outreach
Church members visit various elderly community members that are shut-ins, often sharing meals. To get involved, click here.
The Firewood Ministry
Donated wood is cut, split, and delivered free of charge to local families and individuals. Work days are Saturdays, 9:00 am-12:00 pm,during fall and winter. To volunteer, fill out this form and return to the church.
Fresh Produce/Food Assistance
Church members of all ages harvest from the garden so that local food pantries have fresh organic vegetables. Produce is also gleaned from the Watauga County Farmers Market for food pantries. To get involved, click here.
Habitat for Humanity
Members from our church volunteer to work with Watauga Habitat for Humanity through work days on the third Saturday of most months. If you would be interested in volunteering, click here.

Skilled Home Repair
Church members with experience in the construction field offer their time and skills to people in need in Watauga County through home repairs. To get involved, click here.
Threads of Faith Ministry
This ministry provides prayer shawls and lap robes to those who are ill, blankets and baby hats for newborns, and caps for cancer patients.
Trail Days
This ministry maintains a three-mile hiking trail for the community behind the church. Please contact us for more information.
Mission Trip to Red Bird, Kentucky
Virginia Young leads an annual trip to Red Bird, Kentucky for older adults seeking to serve at Red Bird Mission, typically in October in their Senior Center, Community Store, and with other local projects. To get involved, click here.
