Trail Day on Boone United Trail

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Boone UMC is rolling out the green carpet for the entire community along the Boone United Trail. This free event begins behind the church and features hamburgers and live bluegrass. There will be two guided hikes ending with The Resurrection Walk through our beautiful Meadow. Our very own Stan Steury from Appalachian State’s Energy Center will lead one hike with a second hike being led by a representative from the Blue Ridge Conservancy. The Boone United Trail — located at the back, left corner of the church parking lot — is more than two miles in length. Guided hikes will last approximately 90 minutes, and self-guided hikes are encouraged throughout the afternoon. We hope to see you there for a fun afternoon of fellowship and activity in God’s beautiful creation! In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled.
