Join us this summer for Compassion Camp, a program where kids and families explore what it means to have compassion for others, ourselves, and the world.
As we look around the world, our deep need for compassion becomes more evident with each passing day. At Compassion Camp we will examine different places in our lives where we can cultivate compassion by diving into stories from the Bible.
Lovingkindness, the backbone of our Compassion Camp themes, helps us remember the compassion God has for each of us and as we learn to practice lovingkindness for ourselves and others, we also learn to practice compassion. Day 1 will introduce empathy and compassion and how to recognize opportunities to practice it. Day 2 helps us feel the powerful feelings of lovingkindness for ourselves without judgment. Day 3 will teach us to not only feel lovingkindness for ourselves, but to do the same for our neighbor. We finish Compassion camp by extending lovingkindness to all Tiving things in God’s creation and how we can act upon all we have learned from Compassion Camp.
