Surviving the Holidays

Sunday, Nov. 8
2:00–3:30 pm
Room 125

The holiday season can be especially difficult after the loss of someone you love. Traditions, gatherings, and expectations surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas can make grief feel more intense.

GriefShare’s Surviving the Holidays is a Christ-centered program designed to help people navigate the season with practical support, encouragement, and the company of others who understand.

During this two-hour gathering, participants watch a short video featuring grief counselors, experts, and people who have experienced loss. The program also includes guided conversation with practical suggestions, Scripture, and encouragement to use throughout the season.
Topics include handling holiday traditions, managing invitations and social events, dealing with difficult emotions, and finding ways to remember a loved one while caring for yourself.

The program is open to anyone in our congregation or community who is grieving the loss of a loved one.
