Event Based Groups

Boone UMC has several large events throughout the year.  Some of these events require large teams of members, and in some cases, members of the community to implement.  As a result, these events have planning and organizational groups that bring these annual events to life.  These groups do not meet all year, but meet as the needs require.  However, there is still plenty of fellowship and opportunities to meet other church members.

Fall Bazaar
One of BUMC’s largest annual events that occurs the 3rd weekend in September. It involves over 300 people and countless hours of preparation. Money is raised for missions and the debt on the facility. It brings the entire congregation together and binds us as a family.  Click here to learn about the history of the Fall Bazaar is over 30 years old.

Family Life Ministries
Family Life Ministries hosts social events for the entire church family. They are one of many ways to get to know one another and participate in great food and fellowship. These events involve music, indoor and/or outdoor games, and maybe a contest or two.  Some of the FLM events include the pancake dinner in the Spring, the Annual Summer Picnic, and the church-wide Thanksgiving Dinner.
